Residing in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood, Mikel has built his career and passions around multimedia.
As a photographer, he’s published photos in Coilhouse magazine and on several Chicago news websites including the Chicagoist, Gaper’s Block, and Chicago Public Radio.
As owner of Fargone Productions, Mikel specializes live event audio and video recording for bands and institutions around the city. Many projects have passed his way from The Moth storytelling project and the Chicago Podcast Festival to R. Kelly and the Isley Brothers.
He’s also currently one of the collaborating forces behind the video project Rooftop Sessions Chicago documenting local musicians performing in unusual places around the city.
